‘Forsaken Dreams’ is one of Tyndall’s best novels yet! I've always been a big fan of hers and she hasn't disappointed with her latest
novel. Eliza is young civil war widow whose deepest desire is to be rid of her shameful
past. When she hears of voyage taking Southerners to Brazil to start a colony
there, she jumps at the chance. Blake fought in the civil war, but can’t seem
to quite get past the fact that he is the lone survivor of his whole family. He arranged the journey to Brazil in an
attempt to forget the memories of his life before the war. But, when their
secrets get out into the open and strange, explainable things begin to happen
on board the ship, will Eliza, Blake, and the rest of the party going to Brazil
be able to make it, or will they die trying? This book is definitely one of
Tyndall’s best yet. She weaves an amazing tale of hope, fear, love, and faith
in ‘Forsaken Dreams’ that you are not going to want to miss! I would recommend this
book for everyone ages 14 and up.
